Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to have armor and jackets be worn at the same time? It seems logical that you could wear a jacket over armor.

talk to jack about it, i don't think you can in A4 ~ Johny 1337 23:07, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough though in my experience, it already seems nigh impossible for low-level undead to inflict harm after obtaining the National Guard armor. I once got mobbed while navigating the sewers in such a way that I only had north and south as possible routes. Per Murphy's Law, a group of no less than thirty shamblers and rats chose this exact time to come flooding in from each direction. After going through the last 10 rounds of light rifle ammunition, I wielded my shovel and eventually killed the entire group with only 5HP worth of wounds. Many lulz were had.
Of course, considering jackets would only add 1 extra point of protection at the cost of a slot (which I personally would rather use for ammo), the idea actually isn't unbalancing in the least. Also, ramblerambleramble.

Given that normal skelletons only have three attack, and National Guard Armor protects against three attack, I think they literaly cannot hurt you with it. ~ MetalSlimeHunt 23:37, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

Not quite how it works but yeah, normal skeletons don't mean anything with CHAR armor or better. It's because of their DMG (2) and not their ATK, mind. Rather than providing a bonus to your dodge (DEF) stat, armor takes any dealt damage and subtracts that by its PRO value. RS seems to use a hit roll type of system for ATK so if armor did add to your dodge, skeletons would still have a (teeny tiny) chance of hurting you.
